Many generations later, the Hoppenbrouwers family resumed the brewing tradition. The brothers Tom, Kristof and Michaël Hoppenbrouwers brewed the first Bolder recipe from their parental home in Kalmthout.

For a long time, the owners of Felix warehouse, Tom Leclef and Ivo De Beer, assisted by taste guru Bart Huybrechts, wanted to market their own beer and house a brewery in the catacombs of the warehouse.

Both parties decided to join forces and the Felix Hoppenbrouwers brewery became a fact.
